We are excited to announce that Dr. Ashrafuzzaman Khan successfully defended his Ph.D. dissertation entitled “Effectiveness of Geocell Reinforced Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement Base Layer for Flexible Pavement System Over Expansive Subgrade” in Zachry Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Texas A&M University and continuing with our research group this semester as an Associate Transportation Researcher in Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI).
He has been a great team member of our research group since joining in Fall’2017 and working on projects related to Reinforcement of Flexible Pavements. He led the research tasks on testing, modeling, and performance monitoring of the geocell reinforced pavement sections in laboratory and field conditions. He published those research results in many Journals and Conference Publications. He has won several awards in the national competitions held by the Geo-Institute of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). He showed excellent leadership skills in those competitions. We are glad to have him continue with us in a new role, please join us in wishing him luck and success.
