Dr. Anand J. Puppala, Professor | A.P. and Florence Wiley Chair, Zachry Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Texas A&M University, delivered an invited talk at IFCEE 2021 Conference, Dallas, on “Expansive Soils and Stabilization Challenges”. His presentation focused on his 25 plus years of research on these problematic soils performed at UT Arlington and Texas A & M University in Texas. The topics covered include expansive soils, characterization advancements, clay mineralogy, stabilization guidance, and sulfate-rich soils and their stabilization works.

This is the first in-person talk delivered by Dr. Puppala this year and brought back the fond memories of his Ralph B. Peck Lecture delivered in last year’s Geo-congress, Minneapolis, MN.
