New Journal Paper Alert – Unmanned Aerial Vehicles for Monitoring Airport Asset Surfaces

Posted on October 2, 2022 by amitgajurel

Here is our new research on the Application of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles for Monitoring Airport Asset Surfaces published in Transportation Research Record (#TRR): Journal of the Transportation Research Board: National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine

The technologies used in this study facilitated a virtual walk-through of the high-quality 3D model of an airport from the desk. The high-resolution 3D model assists the Airport Managers, Safety Officers, and other Stakeholders in understanding the conditions of the assets and planning preventive maintenance strategies. These practices are expected to reduce the downtime of an asset and increase the return on investment.
