We are incredibly proud to announce that Dr. Anand Puppala has been elected as a 2024 ASCE Distinguished Member, the highest honor bestowed by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). This prestigious recognition is a testament to Dr. Puppala’s outstanding contributions to civil engineering.
The induction ceremony will take place at the annual ASCE convention in October 2024. This honor wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support of his family, friends, colleagues, and students.
Dr. Puppala extends his deepest gratitude to his beloved parents, wife, children, extended family, and friends. He also thanks his esteemed colleagues and staff members, particularly those from Texas A&M University (TAMU), The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), Louisiana State University (LSU), Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM), and Andhra University.
A special thank you goes to his current and former students at UTA and TAMU. Their contributions undoubtedly contributed to this recognition.
In a heartfelt note, Dr. Puppala dedicates this honor to his late father, who passed away last December. He dearly misses him and would have cherished sharing this news with him.
