Exciting news from Dr.Puppala’s Research Group at Texas Chapter GI Conferance, San Antonio-2025

Dr. Puppala’s research group had an engaging conference at the Inaugural ASCE Geo-Institute (GI) Texas Chapter Conference in San Antonio.

Dr. Anand Puppala delivered a keynote lecture on ‘Ground Improvement Studies for Problematic Soils: Novel Materials and Geosynthetics.’ highlighting the new innovative methots of stabilizing expanisve soils in Texas.

 

Students from Dr. Puppala’s research group showed a strong presence with poster presentations and had engaging sessions presenting to industrial professionals and academics from various universities across Texas.

Shanmukha Sai Avinash Gonnabathula, E.I.T., presented on “Life Cycle Assessment of Wicking Geotextile for Pavements: A Case Study Approach.”

Muddassir Sanei presented on “Application of Low-Carbon Cement with Recycled Concrete Aggregate Fines for Enhancing Sustainability and Resiliency of Transportation Infrastructures.”

Aditya Deshmukh, EIT, presented on “Optimizing Shallow Geothermal Energy: A Cost-Driven Performance Analysis for Grout Selection.”

Sopharith Chou presented his work on “Evaluation of Locally Available Calcinated Clay-Based Geopolymer for Stabilization of Expansive Soils.”
