Position

Ph.D. Student (Jan 2023 – present)

Education

M.S., Geotechnical Engineering, University of Tehran, 2018-2021
B.S., Civil Engineering, Shahid Beheshti University, 2010-2014

Biography

I did my bachelor’s at Shahid Beheshti University. Afterward, I entered the University of Tehran to pursue my master’s. I worked on soil remediation techniques to remediate diesel-contaminated sites. In addition, I started extended research on the effect of nanoparticles on the mechanical behavior of cement mortars. I worked on five different nano-materials: Porous Carbon, MWCNTs, nano SiO2, Graphene Oxide (GO), Reduced Graphene Oxide (RGO), and Magnetic Graphene Oxide. In the last years of my study, I was involved in a research project in which the MICP method was evaluated in mitigating earthquake-induced geohazards. I started my Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering on January 2023 at Texas A&M University. My future goal is to finish my Ph.D. as a professional researcher and to contribute to many scientific projects, as I am eager to learn many new concepts. My primary specialty is soil remediation. However, I do not want to limit myself to one specific study area. My main research interests include element testing and physical modeling, soil improvement techniques, geoenvironmental Engineering, and slope stability.
