Biography

Ayush Kumar is a driven graduate student at Texas A&M University’s Zachry Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, where he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering. Ayush completed his bachelor’s degree from Manipal University Jaipur before embarking on his academic journey in the United States.

During his undergraduate studies, Ayush worked under the guidance of Dr. Arvind Jha, an Assistant Professor at IIT-BHU, where he conducted research on the “Physical and Swell Behavior of Sand–Bentonite and Marble Dust–Bentonite Mixes” for his final year project. This experience ignited his passion for the field and fostered his research interests in geo-environmental studies and soil stability. With a strong desire to expand his expertise in geotechnical engineering, Ayush intends to pursue a Ph.D. after completing his graduate studies.

His ultimate goal is to become a dedicated researcher in the field, leveraging his knowledge and skills to contribute to the advancement of geotechnical engineering and address critical challenges in the domain of soil stability and geo-environmental studies.
