Biography
Jomes Isac was a graduate student at Texas A&M University. He was raised in Thiruvananthapuram, a city in the southern tip of India. He later moved to the United States, where he completed his high school. Being an enthusiast about transportation systems and urban infrastructure in general, Jomes joined the University of Texas at Arlington in 2015 to pursue his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. He was able to intern at City of Arlington’s Water Utilities Department as well as to be a part of the Chi Epsilon honor society during this time.
After graduating with Cum Laude honors in 2019, Jomes joined Texas A&M University in 2020 as a graduate student focused on Transportation engineering. He interned at Kimley-Horn & Associates with the roadway design team, and was also part of the Tau Beta Pi honor society and the Institute of Transportation Engineers. In addition, Jomes worked as a graduate student worker at the Roadside Safety & Physical Security Division of TTI and also at the Unbound Materials laboratory in CIR.
Jomes’ interests within transportation discipline includes roadway/highway design, traffic signal control design, and transportation planning/operations.
