Biography

Mahia Mahbub Riana, a doctoral student in the Zachary Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Texas A&M University, earned her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology, Bangladesh.

Before beginning her doctoral studies, Riana worked as a Design Engineer at a renowned consultancy firm in Bangladesh. In this role, she was responsible for designing high-rise buildings and foundations, showcasing her expertise in structural and geotechnical engineering. Her academic excellence was recognized throughout her undergraduate studies, where she received a “Technical Scholarship” for her outstanding performance.

Structural Design Engineer, Marc Architect and Engineers Ltd, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
