Biography
Puneet Bhaskar is currently working as a Postdoctoral Associate with Texas A&M Transportation Institute in Bryan, Texas. He obtained his doctoral degree in civil engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2020. His research was primarily focused on unsaturated soil testing and seepage analysis in dams. He did his master’s at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, where he worked on numerical modeling of offshore footings. He has previously worked as a staff engineer with a geotechnical consultant firm, Intertek, in Houston. His role was to design and evaluate mechanically stabilized earth walls and diaphragm walls in Texas. His current research interests include unsaturated soil mechanics, ground improvement, seepage, and stability analysis of dams and levees.
