Biography
Shahbaz is a Graduate student at Texas A&M University, College Station. He was born in Agra, a city in the northern plains of India and later moved to Aligarh for his formal education. His expertise in the field of Civil Engineering has been well buttressed by strong academic, short-term field, and research experience. He did his bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from the Aligarh Muslim University (India) and also worked as a research intern at the University of Kiel (Germany). After his undergrad, he joined KEC International Ltd. as a full time Civil Engineer and worked there for a year. Later, he moved to the United States to pursue his Masters and worked with Terracon Inc. as a Geotechnical Engineering Intern.
Shahbaz’s research Interests include CO2 Sequestration, Numerical Modelling, Behavior of Geo-Material under Thermo-Hydro-Mechanical (THM) Stress and Energy Geosciences. He has an ardor for horse riding and Indian music.
