Biography
Sopharith Chou is an international student from Cambodia. He graduated with High Honor from the Civil Engineering Department, Paragon International University, Cambodia, in July 2017. Then he was awarded to be the Global Korean Scholar and joined the School of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering, Korea University in September 2018. In August 2020, he completed his Master of Engineering in Built Environment (Geotechnical Engineering) under the supervision of Prof. Woojin Lee. After graduation, Sopharith worked as an Engineer in Infrastructure Department at SAMOOCM Architects and Engineers for almost two years. In August 2022, Sopharith joined Texas A&M University as a Ph.D. student in Geotechnical Engineering in the Civil & Environmental Engineering Department. His research interests include soft ground improvement, soil behaviors, and sustainability in geotechnical engineering.
